Already the largest single-site extrusion plant in the UK, the visitors had the opportunity to see the results of Smart’s latest investment, in particular the company’s new state-of-the-art, energy-efficient fourth extrusion press and its new fourth paint line, which provide dedicated capacity for extrusion customers. And with extrusion, machining, finishing and packaging processes all on one site, as well as the company’s own fleet of delivery vehicles, visitors were also able to see every aspect of Smart’s fully integrated service in action.

Commenting on the Open Day, Smart’s CEO, Eddie Robinson, said: “Following the successful commissioning of our new extrusion press and paint line, we wanted customers to see for themselves the scale of our extrusion operation and the capabilities that we possess – as well of course, to meet the team that provides full technical, design and sales support. I’d like to thanks everyone who took the time to join us on site, it was great to have the opportunity to meet up”.
